What this website is all about:

This website is a joint effort-trial between nursing staff on Rowans ward, that attempts to see the feasibility of utilising the Internet as a resource responsible for;

· keeping in touch with our ex or current clients (so that they can see any developments that the ward is making).
· sharing ideas between nursing staff on the ward.
· dissipating useful information to students that are aspiring/undertaking clinical placements on Rowans.
· an office with templates that can be printed off for use on the ward.
· offering general information to anyone who wants to know about the ward.

I reiterate that this is a trial, but our goal is to achieve the above objectives and hopefully have a site that is useful and informative. We have a vision that with enough support and joint-effort we will succeed, and that other wards are able to follow suit in the future. We hope that one day there can be a website that our clients, students, staff and the general public can access information in a non-clinical domain that allows for a different taste of what our unit, and the hospital as a whole, stands for.

What this website is NOT about

This website is unfortunately NOT for;
· offering clinical advice.
· referral purposes.
· offering any references for both academic and non-academic written pieces i.e.: the ideas posted here by nursing staff are solely for the interest of the ward and all opinions shall be considered personal to Rowans ward.
· any clinical transactions involving data or otherwise, that is confidential.
· any use considered as ‘emergency’.
· any use that breaches the NMC code of professional conduct or SWPCT Policies, no matter the form.
